#LockettLove: MunaLuchi Bride Snapchat Takeover

Recently, CYE had the amazing opportunity to partner with MunaLuchi Bride to take over their Snapchat.  We are so grateful to MunaLuchi for providing us with such an amazing opportunity, as well as all the vendors that took part in bringing the beautiful day to fruition.

To all the vendors: Science Museum of Virginia, Shannie on the Beat, Mosaic, Luxury Brown Beauty, Footprint Fotos, Flowers by Bron, Mobile Video & Photography, Camillion Event Rentals, Groovin' Gourmet, RVA Trolley, MarkOHarps, CheeZeefotos, DJ 2-Tones Jones, Sugar and Salt RVA, First Class Limo--a huge thank you for your contributions to making Amanda and Darryl's day one to remember!

As the morning of the wedding came upon us, it was time for CYE to begin tackling tasks, as well the takeover of the MunaLuchi Snapchat.  We began our day with an introduction to the head of the CYE team, Jon'll Boyd!  Standing in front of the Omni Hotel in Richmond, Virginia, with clipboards in hand, CYE began it's wedding day routine... Starting with the bride and bridesmaids!

After arriving to the bridal suite, all the ladies were beginning to get their hair and makeup ready.  It was the prime time to "snap" some photos and videos of the bride and bridesmaids, while also featuring some of the fabulous vendors at work!

While getting her makeup done, Amanda shared her feelings about her special day, saying: "It's June 18th, wedding day, I am so excited. Thank you so much to friends and family, to Jon'll and Completely Yours Events... I feel incredibly blessed, I feel very calm."

Before we knew it, it was time for pictures! Derrel Todd and his team at FootPrint Fotos went to work - getting shots of the flowers, the accessories, and of course the dress! Then once all the ladies were ready, they began to take their pictures before getting into their dresses.  They even took some selfies and made a boomerang to keep for themselves.  It was a fun time where even the mother of the bride pitched in, saying "Let's get in formation!"

Finally, it was time to head over and begin working on the reception space while the ceremony was getting underway. The CYE team arrived at the Science Museum of Virginia to greet the vendors and get started with set up. The teams from the caterer, florist, and rental company all got to work setting up both the cocktail and reception space - and we caught it all on Snapchat!

Once the tablecloths, place settings, flowers, and guest favors were all in place, everyone began to see the gorgeous "Southern Chic" styled reception coming to life.  This couple was truly one of a kind when it came to their design. The final decor touch, and also the most sentimental, was the table number frames. Each table was numbered by significant places or objects pertaining to the couple, including the bride and groom's alma-maters Howard University and Spelman College. After much snapping and celebrating of some amazing teamwork - the space was complete and cocktail hour had begun!

Cocktail hour took place on the side of the museum next to their train exhibit. People flowed into the space accompanied by a cool breeze with drinks being served and the harpist playing beautifully in the background.  The guest book was signed, gifts were dropped off, and the hour was indeed in full swing to await the reception.

Finally the reception was beginning.  All the guests had entered the beautiful reception area, in awe of the newly transformed science museum. With DJ 2-Tones Jones in charge of the tunes, the introductions began for the bridal party and Mr. and Mrs. Lockett. The newly weds entered starting with K-Ci & JoJo's "All My Life", then the music switched to an instrumental version of Desiigner's "Panda". At this music switch, it was clear that the night was only just getting started. Amanda and Darryl had their first dance, and each also had their dances with special family members.  Soon came the always comical cake cutting, bouquet toss, and garter toss, to which the catcher of the garter was a (little) big surprise to all!

The fun was still just beginning......It was party time!

The guests headed out onto the dance floor to celebrate such a beautiful day and, unfortunately, bring it to a close.

It was time to send of the newly weds and guests grabbed their sparklers and headed outside to say their goodbyes. The couple ran down illuminated by the numerous sparklers and hoped into their Rolls-Royce, a big surprise to all including Amanda.

It was the end of the night and last minute touches were taken care of, until finally, the end had come. There are so many things from this Amanda and Darryl's wedding day that we would love to share, but be sure to catch us next time on our own Snapchat!
